Foundations
Start with what your bloodwork actually says.
Most nutrition advice is written for a population, not a person. This starts with laboratory work, family history, and how you actually live — then builds a plan you can hold.
Grounded in something real.
People who aren't athletes and don't have a diagnosis, but want nutrition guidance grounded in something real — often the person who's been told their labs are "normal" and still feels terrible.
Assess, plan, review — like every other line.
Laboratory work, family history, and how you actually live.
A plan you can hold — built for your physiology, not a population average.
Panels repeated; the plan changes when the numbers do, and the record shows why.
A foundational panel — iron studies, vitamin D, B12, folate, thyroid — read against the reference that fits you, not a one-size range.
You arrange your own bloodwork. Sarah shares the list of preferred markers to request from your physician or lab, and the panel is billed by the lab directly.
Some of it is measurable.
Foundations is about adequacy and physiology. It is never about shrinking, and there are no body-composition targets here.
Low mood, brain fog, and fatigue get treated as purely psychological far more often than they get investigated. Iron, B12, folate, vitamin D, and thyroid status are testable, and deficiencies in each are associated with exactly those symptoms. This does not replace mental health care, and it is not a claim that food fixes depression. It is the part of the picture worth ruling out — and it is rarely checked properly.
This is nutrition care, not mental health treatment. It works alongside the care of your physician and mental health professional and does not replace either. If you are struggling, please speak to a healthcare provider.
